Details
The beautiful "Olympia" was originally built by Blunt's of Williamstown at the time of the Melbourne Olympic Games. She is carvel planked in Kauri. Until recent years she was in the ownership of one family for more than a generation but had sadly fallen into disrepair. Now she has a new lease on life and the current owner has enjoyed the process of the 3 year restoration, including 2 years in the shed at the Port Authority. Her classic good looks have been enhanced with a return to external brightwork, along with re-chromed fittings and lots of genuine vintage brass adornments. Her interior includes a twin vee berth forward, enclosed bathroom, simple galley, and a bright saloon with settees down each side and double doors opening to a lovely rear cockpit. She is powered by an economical 48 hp Bukh diesel which gives the boat a comfortable 7 knots cruise with the new 4 blade prop.
Full details and photos are available for the restoration work which also included a full rewire, solar charging, sensor LED lighting, floor and window coverings, upholstery, electric toilet and holding tank, and full internal and external re-coat.
