Cheoy Lee has long been regarded as a premium builder of vessels large and small, and "Scotch Mist" is an example of the "Trawler" series of family cruisers which were produced through the 70's and 80's. Known for their good looking, trawler inspired lines and robust construction, these vessels were the 'ultimate' leisure cruiser of their day. Their design has stood the test of time and they are now somewhat of a classic. "Scotch Mist" has been with the current owner for 21 years and he has maintained her well. The two cabin, two bathroom layout is ideal for a small family or two couples, and the large tankage provides ample cruising range for coastal hopping. She is powered by twin Ford Lees 6 cylinder 125 hp diesels which are fed by recently installed stainless day tanks of 120 lt each. The original tanks of approx 1500 lt each are still in situ and can be utilised for long range cruising. Inventory includes Raymarine "E" series integrated electronics at both helms, radar, auto-pilot, HF and VHF radios, solar charging, 2 x TV/DVD's, and a full set of window shades/bimini etc. The galley is well equipped with two fridges, full gas range, microwave and dual source hot water. There is a total of two double berths and 5 single berths, plus two electric flush toilets (forward has large holding tank) and two showers. External areas are complimented by laid teak, a sliding helm door, and wide side decks with all-round fencing.
