Details
"Edna" is a fine example of the iconic Paynesville Fishing Boats. These beautiful vessels are unique to the Gippsland Lakes, developed over many generations by local fishermen and shipwrights to suit the prevailing conditions, with lovely lines and a low profile for ease of casting/pulling nets.
"Edna" was built by Harry Reynolds at the turn of last century, from NZ kauri planking on a keel of jarrah. She is 23' long and powered by a 2 cylinder Yanmar diesel with around 600 hours use. She has been in the same family for over 20 years.
Last slipping was in November 2024 and included major servicing of the engine/cooling system and shaft.
